FHE- Starter Kit & Let Your Light Shine

Hello,
I know many people struggle with coming up with something to do for Family Home Evening. A lady in our ward has this Family Home Evening Kit that she has short one page lessons of Bible, Book of Mormon, and other stories for you to share with a lesson. I will post these lessons periodically to help you in planning your family nights. I will try to post them at least once a week in case you want to start doing this weekly. Some of these are really simple and perfect for younger children with really short attention spans!

FHE Lesson-Let Your Light Shine!

Let Your Light Shine
(Small Votive Candle)
Just as a candle can light up a dark room, you can be a light to help others by being a good example, sharing your talents and noticing ways to serve those in need.

Jesus taught:
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.”
“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.”

Jesus was a good example to us and showed us the things we need to do to be happy and to be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father. It is important, even though you may be small, to help others by letting your light shine.
Matthew 5: 14-16
